Biography provided to the Global Mission Conference in 2007:

My name is Ágatha Heap. I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and lived in the city of Nilópolis for 20 years. There I was involved with Deaf Ministries, NMI and NYI. I have a B.A. in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, a B.A. in Theology from the Faculdade Teológica Nazarena and a M.A. in Religion with Emphasis in Theology from Point Loma Nazarene University. Since 2002 I have been the director of the Missionary Training Center of the Church of the Nazarene in Brazil, first in Sao Paulo, now in Campinas. I promote missions all over the country, coordinate our missions program, teach several classes at the Seminary and organize mission trips, mission conferences and etc. Also, I am the Brazil Central field coordinator for NMI and an associate pastor at our local church in Atibaia. I am married to Brian Heap and we have a two-year old son called Lucas.
